66KHZ IT came about when two highly experienced professionals left their jobs in the city. One of them is a former Financial Analyst Emma with a massive array of skills within the banking sector. She has excellent skills in Excel and Finance.

The other is Omar, who worked as a Lead IT Infrastructure Analyst with Apax Partners UK for 10 Years; Apax is a private equity firm. He was at the company when in the London office.

They had a small cupboard of servers when he started at the firm. When he left in 2011, the server estate had grown into a large dedicated server room with many offices globally. Before that, he worked as an apprentice for Compaq and, shortly after, for Microsoft support before arriving at Apax.

We wanted to offer our skill set to smaller firms that generally can’t afford a level of support. In some but not all cases, smaller companies don’t have the budget to splash on employees, let alone contractors, so we formed 66KHZ IT to help bridge the gap.

On the domestic side, we also wanted to support the local community, so we decided to offer support for local people in Medway and London only. Since leaving their jobs, they had been contracting and working permanently in various roles but still did not feel fulfilled, and that’s how 66KHZ IT was born.

The company is well connected in the industry to deliver reliable results from small to large businesses; it is further backed up by a software and web development team.
